Eric Courtney is a Peabody Award winning nonfiction television producer and documentarian living in Los Angeles, CA. His work can be found on platforms like HBO, Netflix, Apple TV, CNN, A&E and National Geographic.
In addition to creative producing for series, Eric has helped develop projects across media platforms for clients like Samsung, YouTube, Apple, HBO, CNN, MTV, CMT and PBS. On series like HBO's We're Here and Apple TV's My Kind of Country, Eric's work is seen across the production process, from casting and format development to supervising the editorial process.
Born and raised in Lake Floyd, West Virginia, Eric is drawn to stories about everyday people of all stripes who are finding their way in this ever-complex world - particularly those who don't often see people like them in film and television. Often working on projects containing sensitive subject matter, Eric's primary tools of collaboration are honesty, compassion and mutual understanding.
Eric attended college at Fairmont State University in Fairmont, WV and Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. He began his career in the entertainment industry as an assistant at the talent agency William Morris Endeavor.
